We have an agreement with the DRA and are just waiting on an interim Licence from Wannon Water to get the keys and re-entry into our Indoor range . This will eventually lead to a new lease with Wannon Water issued to a yet to be formed company which will be owned and managed by all the shooting clubs and the DRA equally.
This has been achieved due to the good will and intentions on both sides.

Club Shoot 8-12-2018
A great turnout today for our come and try classes, with 7 new archers trying archery for the first time. With Super Coach Mike Clarke away, it was left to Dave Reid to take the classes. Bear in mind that with a recurve bow, Dave couldn’t hit water if he was standing in a lake. But I guess you don’t need to be a canary to know how to sing, because by the end of the day, almost all the new archers were hitting gold. Move over Super Coach, there’s a new Sheriff in town!
Jess Reid was also consistent all day, averaging in the high 50’s at 20m
Hope to see everybody next weekend!
Correct Release Technique
Here’s a great training tip from John Dudley from Nock On Archery, It really helped me with my anchor point and release, I hope it helps you too.
It really is worth following this advice, my shooting has been greatly improved just by ensuring I am getting a good string position
Build Your Own Target
This video is what I used to build my own target. It works really well, I am shooting 60lbs at 10m and I’m getting no pass throughs at all. It’s easy to build, and best of all it’s also very cheap to build
Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed
How To Serve A Bow String
In this video, John Dudley shows you how correctly to serve a bowstring on your bow.
I hope you find it informative.
