GHA Field Shoot 10-02-2019

Jess and Dave Reid, along with Gerry Mahoney, ventured to GHA’s field shoot on the 10th of Feb.

It was Gerry’s first try at a 3 arrow field course and he accounted for himself very well. Shooting his new Samick Sage Recurve, Gerry managed a very respectable 159. A great result first time out, and indicative of the fact that Gerry is improving every week. Well done mate, and I must say, you were a pleasure to shoot with.

It was Jess’ second time at GHA’s field course, her first outing she shot 188 and today her final score was a brilliant 295! A 107 point improvement on her personal best. Great work Jess, all that practise is really paying off for you. Of course you do have an amazing coach too 😃😂👌😎

Dave shot 269, well down on what he is capable of, but he too is slowly finding form with his new gear.

All round it was a great day, GHA are a great club with friendly and accomodating members. If you get the chance, head up there for a great day of shooting. And don’t think you’re not good enough, as they are happy to let you shoot at a maximum of 20 metres. So if you can hit a target at 20 metres you will have an absolute ball around their field course. Thanks again to Brendan and all the crew at GHA for making AoW so welcome.

Ready to Rock and Roll!
